Bromley Y are looking to recruit CWPs to continue to improve children and young people’s mental health services in Bromley. The training forms part of the service transformation initiative delivered by Health Education England as part of the Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) programme.
Bromley Y is a long established local charity offering free therapeutic support to young people between the ages of 0 and 18yrs. Bromley Y provides a safe, friendly environment for children, young people and their families to explore the difficulties that they may be experiencing, helping them to identify new ways forward. Bromley Y hosts the single point of access for the emotional wellbeing of young people in Bromley. Children and young people are referred in, their difficulties are screened and it is then decided how best we can support the young person and their family.
The post holder will undertake training at Kings College London alongside working in service for Bromley Y. They will be taught to deliver evidence based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. The post holder will use their newly developed skills to support children and young people who are referred into the service and trainees will receive supervision to support their professional development.
Training commences in January 2019.
